Made by people from vulnerable groups, using produce that would otherwise be wasted, with the sales revenues supporting a better nutrition for local families in the 6th district of Athens. Educational workshops, freshly-squeezed non-pasteurized juices with zero waste mentality.

A social enterprise with a double mission! We help the Greek young farmers to grow and run a sustainable business, while at the same time we use the profit from the sales of the products in order to buy food in bulk and donate it to Orphanages, Soup Kitchens and families in need! It is a multi-awarded Initiative that has helped more than 100 young producers and donated more than 25 tons of food!

Organise the collection of donations of used laptop/computer from local citisens and business, training groups of local graduates and enthousiast to reipair the equipment, facilitate the donation of IT equipment to local schools as well as further assist and educate with daily IT issues local citizens of Athens.

SOFFA – Social Fashion Factory provides integration into work and micro-entrepreneurism in sustainable fashion to survivors victims of human trafficking, refugees and unemployed people. It provides for their livelihoods through vocational training and employment. It is a nonprofit social cooperative enterprise; 90% of its shareholders are refugees and unemployed Greeks.

Free Waste invented an innovative system for the decomposition of organic waste through the use of automated composites. The whole process is based on the decomposition by selected microorganisms without using any chemical substance and with minimum energy consumption. After only 3 days it is possible to have a complete degradation of organic waste. The resulting product have many applications.

Letting Athenians (citizens) to be part of the Food Waste solution, by placing their surplus food, items & daily meals they have at home, on a network of public cupboards located at central squares and streets across city. FoodSpots act as light-volume foodbanks and aim to feed the more vulnerable segments of population, while diverting waste from landfills, as food is shared and not thrown away.

We suggest setting a Controlled Hydroponic Greenhouse System and Open Garden, in the Municipal Market of Kyspeli. The system will transform traditionally underutilized space into vibrant urban farms at the roof and basement of the market. A model exceptional in its balance of an aesthetic vision and practical needs, which can address the issue of accessing cheaper but healthier fresh organic food. At the same time the community garden serves as medium for learning experiences, educational programs, youth development and community building opportunities. A recreational urban escape, a meeting point and a spot for hosted conversations & events.
