OCCUPIAMOCI Non-profit association thought by Don Giancarlo Leonardi, parish priest of Castenaso (Bologna), to give help to people in the area who do not find or have lost their jobs.
The founder and supporter of the initiative is Paolo Monticelli, entrepreneur.
The Association was established in July 2014.

From 2017 the Association has three sections inside
1) Meetings / debates (the Wednesday of OCCUPIAMOCI) between Associations, Entrepreneurs, Institutions that manage work and those who seek or lost their jobs.

2) Listening centers for those looking for a job, but also for those who do not look for it anymore.

-The 1st Listening Center was established in June 2017 and is: Centro di Ascolto Castiglione, Santa Maria della Misericordia Church, Piazza di Porta Castiglione 4 - Bologna (Giardini Margherita entrance)
-The 2nd Listening Center is operational since January 2018 at Church of Castenaso
3) Working Groups autonomously established within the Association.

Currently they are operational:
-WebSitee Group (creation and management of websites, etc.)
-SOS. Families (baby sitting, elderly accompaniment, small housework, etc.)
- Building Group (Self-sustainable Restructuring)
2 other groups are forming:
- Business Kindergarten
-Touristic guides

The 2018 Project

We are convinced that, through cooperation, from a simple aggregation of ideas we can achieve a concrete development of services or real production, with an entrepreneurial increase of the various ideas.
The Project to set up a Social Cooperative, an Incubator core of Units (Start-Up), is underway.
The existing Groups will become Units of the Social Cooperative Incubator, thus creating jobs to help unemployed persons, really the objective of the Association OCCUPIAMOCI. In particular, the most important goal is to constitute the SOS Families Unit, that must be of help to the single people or families who can not afford essential services, but also to allow people who have lost their jobs to be able to provide services that give them immediate source of income money to solve their primary problem of the moment.
