GeArt Association is a group of artists, teachers, hand-crafters, architects and farmers of any age, coming from different cultural backgrounds, life stories and countries, based in the mountains of Valsamoggia (Bologna).
Since 2011, the foundation's year, we work and cooperate to sustain and promote environmental and social sustainability, with an original approch based on holistic methods, disciplines and activities.
We realize green projects that mix different techniques of biological agriculture and permaculture, land art and urban gardening. What a positive change for our little community!
Our artistic garden of  2500 square meters counts more than 250 medical plants, besides various horticultural plants and trees. Because of its uniqueness, it hosts various classes of regenerative agricolture, botany, eco-design and land art.
Moreover, we manage a bank of seeds where we preserve various endangered species of grains, nuts, corns, generally unknown precious seeds, as well as the more common varieties. To disclose knowledge, traditional practices and also to emprove the farmers' work, GeArt organizes public events to exchange the seeds for free, each spring.
