One Page Summary

The Pandora association’s solution in response to the Challenge at the Scientific High School in Ragusa, offers a creative approach that uses art as the motor for urban, social and cultural regeneration.
We are convinced that the production of art can reignite the fire of a single community, triggering a process of shared urban regeneration and thus giving the possibility to live fuller one own’s local surroundings.
The project foresees the realisation of various permanent art installations inside the courtyard of the Enrico Fermi high school building and in the surrounding areas of the school.
The analysis of the potential problems will be vital to the process, to conduct targeted interventions that will involve not only the students but also the local people in the area.
The students will be an integral part of the realization of the work, which will enable them to acquire further understanding, a determining element will be also the aftercare and maintenance of the interventions. The collocation in the internal part of the school will create an essential part of didactics as well as a place for socializing. The students will also be stimulated from an academic point of view, foreseeing further study in the urban art sector and how it has influenced the world of modern art.
