Each week, the Malaga Region is welcoming an increasing number of refugees and migrants. Andalucia already has an unemployment rate of 24% (Guardian), with reports showing that the immigrant unemployment rate is greater than 60% (ASIT). When they arrive, they do not come with the needed skills or language ability to be able to obtain jobs to sustain themselves. With this current trend, the refugee/immigrant community is more vulnerable to sex trade, the black market and human trafficking. Therefore, there is a need to integrate them in the regional labor market, working both on the demand (job seekers) and supply side (employers). Regarding the latter (employers), they are not used to work and employ this group of workers, therefore need instruments to better understand how to integrate migrants in their companies/activities.
In order to build refugee-benefitting communities, refugees need jobs. In order to work, they must be trained. Help us to introduce migrants into the Malaga labor market with solutions to help them become part of the community.
