My name is Ana Eseverri Mayer. I am an innovative global leader with over 20 years’ experience in building programs and facilitating the growth of organizations working in international education, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. I have three nationalities (French, Spanish and American) and I live and work in three languages having dedicated my life to promote, advocate and innovate for Global Citizenship.

The global access to education is my mission and that is why I define myself as a leader in International education working to foster understanding among people and to promote and equip to take up challenges and forge a prosperous global community. I am an entrepreneurial non-profit leader, a visionary, an educator and an educational content creator.

I started my career 20 years ago as a teacher at London Guildhall University, now London Metropolitan University, where during two full years I was part of the Language Department, teaching social studies for Joint Degrees. I realized how important it was to continue my studies and I came back to Spain to do my PgD in European Studies and I completed my MA with a dissertation on Grey Zones (long-lasting conflicts and the challenges of international aid).

At that point, I started working as a consultant for European Funds and I coordinated many and varied life-long-learning programs within Leonardo, Grundtvig and Erasmus Funds.

One year later, I was called to lead the Team of the Managing Authority and the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Programme, financed by the European Regional Development Fund.

The last 12 years of my life have been mainly occupied with the creation and development of my own non-profit organization in International Education (AIPC Pandora), a structure through which experiential education around the world is made accessible to all students and young people who want to lead and contribute to different global causes. Today AIPC Pandora is an organization that offers international educational opportunities to over 700 students annually.

I have established strong partnerships with a broad membership across these international structures and networks working in the field; such as the Federation EIL, Sentio/AFS Intercultural, the Anna Lindh Foundation, CCIVS and EU structures for international education in Spain.

One of my main international roles today, and until 2019, is the vice-presidency of the EIL Federation, an international non-profit association which represents the global network of The Experiment in International Living (EIL).

I am also one of the founders and board member of the Verón Fundation, an NGO in Honduras and Spain dedicated to offering educational pathways to young people from less privileged backgrounds.
