We train the professional developers of the future. refugees{code} is a programming school for migrants and offers a nine-month long program where we teach programming and the necessary soft-skills to our participants. Our program has one clear goal: integration into the job market.

We are a non-for-profit association and bootstrapped the first two programs (12 month) with only € 500 cash investment (paid out of our own pockets). Although it was not our focus we already placed 3 people at companies.

Now we have the program set up and will have more proof of concept in April 2018, when our actual participants will start to work.
Our current intake started in October 2017 and from 21 participants we had zero dropouts. One participant found a job already and will therefore leave the program at the end of the year.
In total around 80 people participated in our program.

We have developed our own tools such as a learning platform and a chatbot which prepare us for scaling up.
All three founders (Stefan Steinberger, Daniela Wolf, Alexander Hartveld) are first movers in education and together we will shape the way we learn in the future.
