Zero Waste Austria started as a movement in 2015 and is since September 2017 a registered non profit NGO with the aim to amplify the Zero Waste Movement in Austria. It does so by strengthening the network and raising awareness. It is based in Vienna (Impact Hub) and active in all Austria with talks, school workshops, collaborating with waste management organisations and participating in projects to reduce food waste and waste in general. 

Zero Waste Austria focusses on promoting responsible consumption by providing people with information how to reduce packaging when shopping and also encouraging to support local businesses that provide reuse, repair and recycled products to reduce packaging waste as well as wastage of resources.
