The 2019 European Social Innovation Competition will launch next week in Ljubljana!

“The Competition is open to all Europeans 18+. Each year it supports ideas for projects that offer solutions to pressing challenges faced by European society. Participants receive training to develop their ideas and every year three winners are each awarded 50,000€ in prize money.

Each edition of the Competition addresses a new issue - and this year’s theme is set to be announced at an event in Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana on 28 February.
The theme for this year’s Competition is related to sustainability. This is why Ljubljana was chosen as host of the Launch Event (Ljubljana is one of Europe’s most sustainability-conscious cities).

At the event you will have the opportunity to hear from previous Slovenian Competition winners and from experts discussing the solutions we’re looking for this year. You will also be able to take part in a “hackathon” aimed at finding a prototype idea to address this year’s theme. The event will end with the ‘Toasted Furniture’ art exhibition by Nuša Jelenec and Nina Mršnik. Registrations are open. ”
