Grameen Italia was born in 2010. It is a non-profit organization that pursues exclusively social solidarity objectives and has as its main goal the study and the promotion of the microfinance and the microcredit in Italy and Europe, according to the principles inspired by the Nobel Peace Prize Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank.

Grameen Italia Foundation

Grameen Italia was born in 2010, thanks to the cooperation among University of Bologna, Grameen Trust and Unicredit Foundation.

It is a non-profit organization that pursues exclusively social solidarity objectives and has as its main goal the study and the promotion of the microfinance and the microcredit in Italy and Europe, according to the principles inspired by the Nobel Peace Prize Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank, for the support of the autonomous work and/or entrepreneurship and also for sanitary or educational needs or for the purchase of housing in favor of those who due to their race, geographical provenance, social status, gender, age or other circumstances do not have access or have insufficient access to the traditional credit channels.

Mission

Promotion and diffusion of Grameen microcredit model in Italy and in Europe.

Vision

Grameen Italia Foundation intends to offer its contribution to guarantee financial and social inclusion of the most vulnerable populations by promoting alternative and sustainable economic models capable of restoring the centrality of the man.
