Ecological Solutions for the Present Comfort

A solution by F-design Electric submitted to Innovations for tomorrow in water management in refuges in the Danube Delta

Through our proposed solution we want to ensure comfort conditions in the refuges, while protecting the natural environment of polluting factors, ensuring the necessary electricity, and providing hygienic conditions by supplying hot water from regenerative sources.

One Page Summary

The solution addresses the problem with which locals from the Danube Delta have to deal daily: the lack of drinkable water and of some basic living condition in fishermen refuges in the Danube Delta.
Through our proposed solution we want to ensure comfort conditions in the refuges, while protecting the natural environment of polluting factors (used domestic water), ensuring the necessary electricity, and providing hygienic conditions by supplying hot water from regenerative sources (solar energy and collection of heat from plant decomposition – compost)
Implications: protecting the environment of polluting factors, improving living conditions, and, on long term, determining young people to choose to live in the Danube Delta instead of emigrating. The unicity of the project comes from the predominantly ecologically solution involved.
• These types of purification systems have been used before, all around the world – the biggest one can be found in the United States, serving approximately 60.000 users. The pluses of the systems come from the fact that they do not require special transportation conditions (hard to find in the Delta and entail high costs) – neither for the installation of the system nor during its period of exploitation.
