The noise pollution in Nicosia Old City is related to health and well being issues affecting both business and residents.We strongly believe that we shall involve citizens and use latest technology to analyse the acquired data and at the same time have real results which will make the project sustainable. We strongly believe that our multi-level approach is unique and engages all concerned parties

The challenge we are addressing is the increasing problem of pollution and in our case the noise pollution which is related to health and well being issues affecting both business and the residents of Nicosia City Centre
Our proposed solution system consists of the following
1. Analyse and categorise existing data of existing complains as given by the municipality
2. Activate citizens and engage them to use open source app
3. Selected ares will be used for the pilot studies
Data will be transferred to the cloud for further analysis using various types of wireless technologies
After the data are analysed the cause of the pollution will be identified and measures will be taken.
The results of actions can be immediately measured either by crowdsourced data from active citizens and also using the installed Nodes.
