I use my strategic abilities to create change around the world with a focus on the European Union, the US (primarily California and Colorado), South East Asia, and South America.

My personal mission is to tackle big problems – from empowering the nonprofit field, to curing diseases, to opening markets of freedom in oppressed countries and creating new economic paradigms, to moving the social sector from bootstrapping to affluence. I do this work by designing effective programs and curriculums, facilitating difficult dialogues, and advancing the leadership of changemakers.

A passionate entrepreneur, I am a 6X Founder and have 30 years of experience in business and 18 years experience in philanthropy. I am the Founder and CEO of Sky(lark) Strategies (a triple bottom line company), and the Director of Programs for the GG Society Fellowship. As a skilled facilitator and international strategist, my expertise lies in the intersection of the for-profit and social good NGO worlds, bridging the gap through entrepreneurship. As a facilitator I bring management consulting methodologies to changemakers. I enjoy the business design process and the challenge of taking early-stage entities to scale.

I am a member of the Young Scholars Initiative of the Institute for New Economic Thinking where I work with a group of more than 500 economists and Ph.D. economic researchers from over 60 countries to create a new economic framework. As a Visioneer Advisor for the XPrize Foundation, I help the field of Alzheimer’s move towards a cure. I work with the Human Rights Foundation on creating an ecosystem of change and strengthening democracy in Ecuador. I also run an NGO Accelerator Lab in Romania and am currently shaping a Social Entrepreneurship curriculum for two universities.

I firmly believe in the importance of this work. A substantial percentage of my time is allocated for pro bono work, a portion of my consulting firm's profits are donated, and I often speak publicly about the art and science of social impact.

As a woman, an immigrant, and a Latina from Eastern Europe married to a Chinese/Mexican man, I live diversity to the bone. My staff and clients are profoundly diverse in gender, age, economics, race, and national heritage.

Born in communist Romania as the daughter of an entrepreneurial woman and a Renaissance man, I started my first business in high-school, when having a business was illegal. I immigrated to the US in 1999 after giving away everything I owned.

I hold a BS in Economics, a BA in Psychology, and an MBA. I currently chair a non-profit board and mentor a foster youth. I am a particle physics aficionado, a philosopher, writer, and passionate photographer. In the past 20 years, I have traveled to 56 countries and territories on 6 continents.
