Breeze Citizen Portal for Air Quality

(Pitched: 21/12/2017)
Our citizen portal for air quality data provides comprehensive and hyperlocal air quality data and is a one-stop shop for interested citizens. The portal is currently being piloted in Hamburg-Rothenburgsort and will soon be available in more districts and cities. It fosters behavioural change in citizens towards more sustainable consumption and mobility behaviour.

One Page Summary

How is the air quality in front of your door? Cities usually only maintain few air quality monitoring stations. Measurements are few and far between. The collected data therefore does not have the necessary relevance for most citizens.

The Breeze citizen portal for air quality data provides comprehensive and hyperlocal air quality data and is a one-stop shop for interested citizens. The portal has been successfully piloted in Hamburg-Rothenburgsort and will soon be available in more districts and cities.

The portal supports behavioural change towards a more sustainable consumption and mobility behaviour. By engaging citizens with hyperlocal and comprehensive air quality data, explaining the effects and impacts air pollution has and by creating the link to their own air pollution footprint, consumer awareness about climate and pollution challenges can be improved.
