The blind and moderate to severe visually impaired are a group of more than 253 million people around the world and yet almost no vision-compensating solutions that are innovative and affordable are offered for them in the market. Visual impairment affects both younger and older age and is constantly increasing due to the ageing of populations.

On one hand the blind and low-sighted person faces challenges such as:
• Access to information - offline and online
• Identifying medications, shopping, cooking, and other independent living skills
• Obtaining or maintaining education and employment
• High cost of vision devices
• Often living in isolation

On the other hand, the time and resources currently given by caregivers to the blind and visually
impaired cause a considerable economic burden for affected persons, their healthcare providers
and society at large. 

We are creating a high-tech innovative personal assistant for the blind and low-sighted that can interpret the visual world and speak it out to the user. Allowing the blind and visually impaired to have instant access to visual information and more independence in accomplishing the daily life activities resulting in a higher quality of life, better human to human connection and more self-sustained society.

A unique design philosophy that allows the user to enjoy a fully personalised experience and enriches the human-to-human connection. EyeSense uses advanced computer vision and artificial intelligence techniques to interpret the visual world and speak it out for the user.
