One Page Summary

Our product is the first 3D printed TIB ever made in Croatia by 3D print technology. The book was inspired by the stories of the famous Croatian children`s writer Ivana Brlic-Mazuranic, famous for her collection of stories "Stories from a long time ago".

The book is comprised of fourteen illustrated pages containing 3D illustrations in relief form, large print and Braille. The pages themselves are made of a flexible rubber-like material, making them tear-resistant and washable, ensuring long usage by the children. The material also enables the educator to add different content such as paints and textures, making each session with the children unique.

In addition to the physical pages, an audio book of the story is also included. The audio book is triggered by near-field communication between the RFID chip embedded in the print, and a child or an educator`s smartphone, enabling classroom sessions or individual play.

The advantage of our technique is the possibility to easily recreate virtually every story in TIB/audio book format, enabling fast growth of blind and VI children`s libraries.
