State mainstream elementary school actively promoting the inclusion of children with special needs, regularly enrolling in specialized programs and activities. The school contains a department for education and rehabilitation of blind and visually impaired children. The part of the department is also a library for blind and visually impaired children. Apart from the blind and visually impaired pupils, the school accommodates children with other kinds and degrees of special needs. The aforementioned special needs include autism and intellectual disabilities. 

Our past projects include: 

1) Organizing T&T`s (Typhlo and Tactus) competition for the best Tactile Illustrated Book (Croatian National Selection)

2) Writing and illustrating Tactile Illustrated Books

3) Promoting the rights of special needs students via lectures, workshops and books
