Working to improve education through gamification. We focus mainly on empathy, personal development, and respect to the environment. We began to make the scripts of our first board games and videogames in 2014, and began to develop them in 2016. From 2017 up to now, we have been testing them among more than 500 students of three different high schools and one university (Complutense).

Fly Games Project is a project that aims to contribute to the improvement of education through gamification
The project began in 2014, with three people highly interested in education writing the scripts of our first videogames. After two years, we funded Fly Games, on January 2016, and began to turn our first scripts into board games and videogames. With the cooperative work of a well combined multidisciplinary team, including psychologist, teachers, and technical profiles, we continued to design scripts and write contents that have mainly focused on social and emotional intelligence, and universal ethical values, as we think these are the essentials of any educative system.
In our team we are now working 3 engineers and a graphical designer on full time basis, plus 2 psychologists at part-time. But up to 12 different people worked at full time during different periods of time since 2016.
We believe the way students learn can improve a lot due to the possibilities that provide tablets and videogames, as with well thought educative software, they can be the key device to unleash the potential of teenagers at the top of their intelligence and creativity.
We think education must be collaborative, that students can learn from one another, as well as from the teacher, who must be a guide in their learning, not a machine who talks the same things to the class one year after another.
We are also sure that the education of the 21st century will soon start to give to empathy, personal development, personal reflection, creativity, effective communication, responsibility, and respect to the environment, the place they deserve in the educational system, as these abilities are at least equally important as the traditional subjects, which put the emphasis on learning methods developed by others (on science courses), or on learning concepts (on humanities courses). Students can learn from the achievements of others, but they can also learn from their own achievements.
We are sure that the school cannot be a burden to the students anymore. Since we are kids, we are always trying to understand the world around us. The willing to learn is something inherent to any human being. But often this curiosity ends at school, with the stress of the exams and the memorization. We must find the way to motivate the students, so that this willing to learn never ends.
We are living times of big changes (climate change, globalization, job loss due to robotics and digitization, etc.). These disruptive changes will need quick decisions that will be taken by those who are now studying. And will have to be taken thinking on the common benefit, not on personal interests, something that can only be achieved by educating the heart, not just the mind. And by making school a fun and interesting play to go.
