I am a sociologist with 30 year experience in the design and coordination of social research and social projects. I was a Contract Professor of in migrations in the Faculty of Sociology of the University at Naples “Federico II” (2002-2012). Now I am charwoman of Dedalus social cooperative in Naples where I work as senior researcher on the migration phenomenon and as coordinator of several social services for migrants. I cooperate with a number of research centres at the national level on issues related to migration flows, with a specific focus on the territories of Naples and Campania Region. Moreover, I am a member of the Advisory Board of the Doctorate in Social Sciences and Statistics of the University of Naples Federico II - Department of Social Sciences; I am a member of the National Observatory for the integration of foreign students and interculturality established at the Ministry of Education (Ministerial Decree n. 718 of 09/05/2014 and DM n. 586 07/30/2015); I am a member of the Scientific Committee Master in Immigration and public policies of reception and integration promoted by the Department of Political Science, University of Naples Federico II and take part in the scientific team of the Observatory on foreign students sponsored by the Municitality of Naples, Istat and Campania Region Education Office.
For Dedalus, I have coordinated several researches and among these:
- "Indagine campionaria sull’integrazione dei migranti in Campania" (with Prof. Salvatore Strozza), a sample survey on the integration of migrants in Campania. It was part of the regional cultural mediation service - project "Yalla", of which she is Scientific Director of studies and research area.
- "La misura del livello di integrazione della popolazione straniera nella Provincia di Napoli e Caserta attraverso dati d'indagine" promoted by Fondazione Ismu, this research proposes a methodology to measure the local level of immigrants’ integration, using individual data obtained by a sample-based survey
- "Dallo sfruttamento sessuale al lavoro paraschiavistico: il caso della Campania e della Puglia", promoted by Presidency of Ministers Council-Department for Equal Opportunities, a research investigating the issue of exploitation of human beings
- "La presenza immigrata in Campania: evoluzione e processi di stabilizzazione", promoted by Campania Region and led by Cooperative Dedalus and Università degli Studi di Napoli “Federico II” - Department of Sociology. The research investigates the phenomenon of immigration in Campania, concerning the new arrivals and the setting in processes.
- "Analisi dei bisogni delle donne immigrate e dei servizi esistenti". This research investigates the foreign women ways of living and conditions, to help design and improve dedicated local services.
