Ka Man Mak is a British born Hong Konger residing in Oslo. She is a Master graduate in Environmental Geoscience at University of Bristol, and moved to Oslo since 2011. Integrating and navigating the Norwegian society was not easy for her. Despite that, she has an ambitious goal to become a journalist in Norway. Over the years, she developed her Norwegian language skills through writing articles for a local Norwegian newspaper. Ka Man then founded The Oslo Desk in June 2017 to help transform migrant lives through constructive journalism, vital information distribution and training workshops. She also works as a Project Coordinator at Oslo Edtech Cluster. She did numerous diplomas in child psychology, professional photography, freelance journalism, sub-editing and design, and data analytics.
