I am an Hungarian artist, community activist, participatory designer, and project coordinator with an academic background in philosophy and history. In the last 4 years I have been part of the unMonastery group (www.unmonastery.org), a small organisation that connects rural areas, depleted villages with urbanites who seek to leave compromises and precarity of city life. I co-organised the setup of 2 ‘testlabs’ - temporary co-living and co-working experiments which have taken place on the periphery of Europe (South Italy and Greece), with the goal of re-utilising unused buildings and forging new relationships between the city and the countryside. I also co-designed and co-created the unMonastery toolkit, an open source toolbox to help others set up co-living co-working spaces. The shared interest in reimagining the role of villages in contemporary life became the start of a collaboration with Diana Moret and Pandorahub (www.pandorahub.org). In 2016 I became a coordinator for the unMonastery MAZI participation - MAZI is a Horizon 2020 funded consortium of 9 institutions with the goal of developing a toolkit for making the creation of DIY, community owned local networks easier. In the last 2 years I have also been involved in Euforia (www.euforia.org), a youth driven organisation providing alternative education that enables people to create the change they see are needed. Euforia's approach is to focus on teaching interpersonal skills and self-development in order to allow collaborations and sustainable solutions to organically emerge within groups. My latest project idea is to create a 'Conviviality School' (www.conviviality.school), - an idea inspired by Ivan Ilich's book Tools For Conviviality. The core idea is to create a place where everyone can learn and teach, according to their skills and needs, without the need to be or become an ‘expert’.
