Alexandros E. Papacharalampous (M) acquired a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece with specialization in Transportation Engineering and a M.Sc. from the Delft University of Technology (TUD), the Netherlands in Transport & Planning. He has worked as a researcher in TUD performing transportation and planning modelling for TOYOTA and data analytics for big events for the Amsterdam Institute of Advanced Metropolitan Studies. In 2016 he initiated AETHON (http://aethon.gr/) in Greece with the mission statement to create innovative tools related to sustainable and smart cities. He has worked on multiple European and national projects with AETHON. He is also an active member of Technical Chamber of Greece and the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers.
