Farm Cultural Park is an enchanting and magic place in Favara, it was founded in 2010 by Andrea Bartoli and Florinda Saieva as a challenge to the neglect and abandonment state of the town, it is now a cultural model and an ever changing laboratory. In six years of activities, Farm has had its focus on culture and contemporary art in order to bring innovation and energy. Farm’s seven courtyards are the beating heart of a cultural revolution: the restored buildings house galleries, dedicated areas to performances and workshops, artist residencies, food courts, shops. Over the years Farm has often changed configuration and spirit, the buildings are constantly renewed, refashioned by the artists who pass through it, working with characteristic layers in the history of Sicily.
Simultaneously with its internal transformation, Farm expands its horizons every day, sharing its experiences with leading national and international realities. Collaborations with universities, commercial realities, independent cultural centers grow and nurture the creation of a large family.
Farm's first book collects all these experiences as a guide for learning about examples of global and local urban regeneration, good practices, and smart strategies for building communities.
