Myself and co-founder Polly met while working at a leading global advertising agency. I was working as a strategist, and Polly as a creative producer. We got to know each other and bonded over our shared passion in finding new ways to tackle homelessness, and left a year ago to set up TAP London (which I'll talk about in my pitch!).

I have an M.Phil (and spent some some time working towards a PhD) in Sociology from Cambridge University; social issues and understanding them have always been close to my heart. But it was during my time in Cambridge that I became particularly frustrated with the way in which homeless people were treated. They are very rarely enabled to be part of their own solution, which is many cases is exactly what they need. Not hand outs.

This is, of course, emblematic of some of the complexities surrounding homelessness, which, over the course of this year, Polly and I have developed a deep understanding of while we have launched our solution, TAP London.
