I was born in Romania but grew up in Chicago.  I attended Northwestern University where I studied Economics and then started a career in finance.  While working in investment banking, I began to explore a passion for entrepreneurship and technology.  I put a team of developers together and formed a mobile app development company.  I personally funded the operations for a year but after seeing that our projects weren't achieving success, I decided to shut it down.  I then joined a Venture Capital firm where I had the opportunity to learn a lot about start-ups and make some very useful relationships.  Afterwards, I joined Chicago-based technology company where I helped run the operations team.  

I am passionate about finding ways to leverage technology to help solve social problems.
