Stephanie O’Malley, founder and CEO of Education DESTY® is a qualified Educational Psychologist with a Masters’ Degree in Educational Psychology from UCD and an Honors Degree in Psychology from NUI, Galway. For the past 15 years Stephanie has supported children, families and professionals involved in healthcare and education systems and particularly CIC and vulnerable children. She has lectured and delivered workshops in colleges and universities across Ireland including University College Dublin (UCD), Trinity College, Dublin (TCD) and University of Colorado. She has also collaborated with a number of community and education centres to deliver a range of courses and workshops to parent groups and a variety of professionals. For over five years Stephanie has focused on developing her vision of the DESTY® online programme aimed at supporting children of all abilities to reach their potential. DESTY® (Discovering Exceptional Strengths and Talents in You) Limited is a targeted online Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programme is aimed at supporting children aged between 6 and 14 years. As part of the DESTY® programme, educators, heath care professionals, parents and carers are trained to become DESTY® Mentors who support children to visit DESTY® Island where they explore their emotions with their online guide, DESTY®, and their offline Mentor. The DESTY® programme uses cutting-edge technology to teach children essential life skills such as managing feelings, problem solving and working effectively with others. In the past year Stephanie has trained over 200 DESTY® Mentors in sites across Ireland and the UK.
