Women Originated Media Entrepreurship Network

A solution by Linking Foundation submitted to Building Social Labs for Integration!

WOMEN project focus on development of migrant women entrepreneurship potential. Project activities includes: -Interactive featured video -ICT learning mechanism -Peer to peer exchanges It turns “edutainment” into mentoring schemes for migrant women would-be entrepreneurs. The aim of these activities is to help migrants to become self-employed and build a successful enterprises.

One Page Summary

Personal contacts and peer to peer exchanges of women entrepreneurs and gained trust helps to overcome the deficit of social capital and lack of knowledge, skills and attitudes which hinders business development. Proposed project capitalise on the successful implementation of the US Department of state e-Bridge project in 2015 and 2016 project, Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs sponsored project in 2016 as well as social innovation project "Women Inspires Women" Implemented in 2017 and 2018 . Presentation of the idea of the project was presented on UN Forum on Sustainability. Proposed method is based on the development of individual and group learning arrangement based on the evidence inspired by successful cases of women owned and women led companies in Ukraine and Poland.
Creation of the network of entrepreneurial women linking women in local, regional and European scale may be enhanced and scale up by interactive media development and innovative use of ICT. It would unlock entrepreneurship potential and enhance their digital literacy.
There are encouraging results of the ongoing cooperation and already made contacts reaching out to Polish and Ukrainian women owned and women led businesses.
