Over the past twenty years, I have built broad expertise within the EU ecosystem, while I have had the chance to work in research, innovation and entrepreneurship activities in a wide range of economic environments such as the USA, Israel, Hong-Kong, UAE, India, Singapore and North Africa. My career so far has included a number of leading positions in teams both within as well as across organizations. Throughout this career, I have consistently followed a quadruple helix innovation approach, working tirelessly on fostering effective connections between academia, the public sector, private enterprises, and society.

As an entrepreneur, I set-up and grew a company to 30+ employees with the peak revenue exceeding the €7 million per annum. As an executive I have managed several multi-million euro projects leading international teams of experts and meeting successfully strict deadlines. I have raised more than €60 million from the EU funding instruments, I have coordinated 30 complex research and innovation projects while I was also the project manager for my organization in another 15 projects. I have also acted as science and technology policy expert in several local, regional and national governments, and as an independent expert for the EC Framework Programs.

I have a Master’s Degree in Science & Technology Policy, from University of Sussex, Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), UK & a BSc. in Informatics from Athens University of Economics & Business.
