The "Archipelagos" Social Coop is a social cooperative enterprise based in Kypseli, (Athens, Greece) which aims to create job opportunities for people with psychosocial problems, migrants / refugees and other socially vulnerable individuals.

It is a private-law cooperative, with commercial identity and can develop any economic activity in the primary, secondary and tertiary economy sectors.

At the same time, it is also a "mental health unit" supervised by the Greek Ministry of Health, since it contributes to the treatment and (to the extent possible) financial self-sufficiency of people with psychosocial problems.

Many members of the Cooperative, of all categories, are individuals from various vulnerable groups of the population, such as refugees and migrants, former drug users, single parent families’ leaders, long-term unemployed, etc.

Within the activities of KoiSPE "Archipelagos" the employees are:
60.0% people with psychosocial problems
48.5% migrants / refugees
65.7% women (many of whom are single-parent families’ leaders)

All the employees of the Social Cooperative are fully insured, according to the Greek legislation, and remunerated at higher rates than those stipulated in the collective labor agreements.

Last but not least, the volunteer work of several members of the Cooperative, especially for the needs of psychosocial support of members and employees, is remarkable.
