The modern board game trend started at the end of the 90s of the XX century. Since then board game design, based on well-done author products, making them a very different product from common board games. These new games provided new social game situations. Most of them are non-violent and promote creativity. They are made to be played in groups, and some are even fully collaborative.
Modern Board gaming is a way to promote social integration through games, through fun. People learn to play, learning to behave and respect others, to engage and communicate, to be creative.
There is more than 2.000 news games being produced each year. There will never be a lack of board games, and there is always a different board game suitable for each people or group of people. They can even being used to develop other skill and knowledge’s: concentration, collaboration, maths, history, dexterity, construction, creativity, arts, etc .
