WGE!-Gemeinsam Wohnen I am 29 years old, grew up in Linz, and moved to Vienna for my university studies (International development studies and Chinese studies). Since then I have been living in Vienna with short breaks to explore the world, especially the Asian continent. I enjoy connecting people and putting ideas into action that are valuable for our society. At the weekends, I often go for a hike in the Viennese Woods, where I get the best ideas to develop WGE!-Gemeinsam Wohnen further.

I cofounded WGE!-Gemeinsam Wohnen, as I grew up in an intergenerational household myself which I consider as a huge personal enrichment. I have never seen old and young as a contradiction, but as a complement. Until today, I enjoy talking to elderly people about their opinion on current developments or about the past. During my studies, I could observe that many of my fellow students considered the monthly rent as a huge financial burden. At the same time, I figured out that elderly people, living alone in huge apartments, are also having problems to afford their homes and need a helping hand from time to time (e.g. taking the groceries up the stairs). So, the idea of WGE! was born.
