erdbeerwoche is an innovative e-commerce platform that provides both an awareness raising platform as well as an online shop for sustainable feminine hygiene products. Our current solution is an innovative e-learning platform for teenagers that educate boys and girls between 13 and 16 years about the topic of menstruation and sustainable feminine hygiene. With the prototype of our e-learning platform for teenagers “Ready for Red” we are the first to provide a holistic learning experience about menstruation and sustainable feminine hygiene by providing unique content in a way that teenagers like to learn: interactive, funny and with a lot of videos and games.

We provide women with facts and figures about the topic of menstruation and feminine hygiene while at the same time offering healthy and ecological alternatives to conventional products. This includes tampons and pads made from organic cotton, menstrual cups, as well as organic and fair trade underwear. Through the company’s awareness raising work, women come to realise their power as consumers of more than 45 billion hygiene products every year. Through buying sustainable hygiene products women can significantly influence their health and the ecological balance of our planet.


erdbeerwoche’s vision is to break this bloody taboo and to revolutionize the feminine hygiene market by bringing sustainable alternatives to the mainstream. With our new solution – an e-learning platform about menstruation and sustainable feminine hygiene for teenagers – we strive to contribute to our vision and also to goals nr. 4 and 12 of the sustainable development goals (SDGs).


So far, we were able to substitute more than 4.5 mio conventional tampons and pads through our sustainable alternatives which means a huge reduction of waste. As for the products in our onlineshop, we act like a seal of approval by selecting only products and suppliers that comply with our detailed criteria catalogue fostering a sustainable supply chain. All our products are either biodegradable or reusable, vegan, not tested on animals, made in the EU and we deliver all our parcels in a carbon neutral way.


Our USP: Our customers are not just customers but ambassadors of a new generation of feminine hygiene. We are a business led by women for women and we empower women to become part of our movement of « bloody women » who do not feel ashamed about their period.
