One Page Summary

What is the problem we are trying to solve?

BCNL is on a mission to offer solutions to provide interactive trainings and webinars to NGO's across Bulgaria. Currently offers offline trainings which are expensive to organise and cannot cope with the existing demand.

NGO's in Bulgaria have the challenge to fight against the negative media campaign and the decrease in funding’s. They require a much higher level of competence to fight against those negative conditions and make a bigger impact in the society.

Who benefits from our solution?

Our solution need to serve the needs of NGO's members across Bulgaria, providing them with an easy and affordable solution to learn and increase their skills and competences.

Our solution need to serve the needs of BCNL as it needs to be affordable, easy to design, deliver and manage training programs. The solution could also provide opportunities for collaboration, exchange of ideas and the creation of meaningful social connections among NGO's members.

How the solution might look like?

Our solution is a personalised social learning platform for social activists:

  • Based on individual needs - using self-assessments to identify competence gaps
  • Mission driven - based on participants goals
  • Social, peer collaboration
  • open and free - open source technologies to allow contribution from volunteers easy to use designed to scale - (e.g. adding languages)
  • learn anytime, anywhere - seamless experience across devices
  • earn at your own pace - new research suggests that people learn much more effectively setting their own goals and moving at a pace that suits them than traditional time-based learning.

What are we going to try first?

To get started, we propose to run a Design Sprint. Created by Google Ventures, is a 5-day format workshop combining agile, design and lean thinking techniques to accelerate discovery around a big problem you want to solve.

Who are we?

We are a diverse team of designers, developers, product managers and educators that has come together to work on challenges that matter to us.
