A gaming Platform to engagé stakeholders in sharing a regenerating urban path by using a buttom-up approach

For years now, small villages and the suburbs of large cities or circumscribed areas of the old town are presented as “not locations” (no man’s land): aseptic spaces where, in a social context, the era of interpersonal relations and personal growth has no citizenship.
The replicability of the model Farm Cultural Park, it is expected to be implemented through a simulated experiential involvement, starting from a digital platform which allows the refinement and the customization compared to the specific territorial and cultural connotations of the chosen contexts. Specifically, it is thought the development of a game, in the style of “Minecraft”, calibrated in accordance with the perspective of a urban managerial games.
The main objective is the engagement, both territorial and not, on the project. The active involvement (third-sector associations, professional and entrepreneurial categories, universities and schools but also institutions and local authorities) will urge viral processes which, thanks to the media coverage, should allow a greater and conscious involvement of stakeholders.
The project starts with the availability of initial resources to transform the territory in a high-density relations place:
- Map of the territory (perimeter of the field of action)
- Human key resources
- Connections with institutions
- Connections with media
- Values to be put in place
Each of these categories will be composed of sub-categories variously represented, with initial allocations which need to be integrated with acts of enforcement resulting from the achievement of kudos (reward credits expandable for the purchase of resources) achieved for proposing actions and interventions evaluated as economically and socially feasible by the Technical Scientific Committee and therefore worthy of recognition; or through the offer carried out by other participants who appreciate the project proposal.
The game will have a moderator/stimulator (an individual identity or a board) that will manage the interaction between the players, each of which will have a specific and classified role among the conceivable between the different partners and stakeholders considered in wide categories.
The purpose of the game is to suppose a participate design that allows, considering alternative scenarios, a sharing of the regeneration path with a prefiguration of the roles and necessaire resources that has to be reserved, including a possible timetable of the intermediate objectives to reach.
