Comfucius said "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life". "Career Sign" mission is to help people with disabilities to find out which their "job calling" is and provide appropriate services based on his needs, starting from academic choice till getting job.

Social Challenge: Diversity in Public Administration

It is said that "if you want to change the world, you have to begin with yourself". Try to see another perspective for each issue. This pitch is a short film that provide a different perspective of "how to evaluate candidates". Giving, at the end, a different output from the expected.
There is a long way to walk if we want to include people with disability in the labour market. There are surveys that proof that HR staff is afraid of coworkers' behaviour if they decide to hire a person with disability. Furthermore, they don't know how to evaluate them and that they don't receive CVs of people with disability.

Career Sign has an accessible site for uploading job positions and informing with an accessible way all the people. Furthermore, we provide special training for HR staff and candidates. Moreover, we are able to educate coworkers for an effective communication and check job description and facilities in order to explain if that job position could be accessible in that facility. Last but not least, Career Sign's staff updates its knowledge in order to be prepared for the unexpected and create a psychometric tools for people with disability.

In Greece there isn't any organisation that deals with these issues using experts and aware counsellors. Most of organisations provide trainings or awareness about disability. While, Career Sign's staff are people both aware of disability and experts in career counselling.

Career Sign is located in Greece and serves people of Athens (where the biggest percentage of people with disability in Greece is placed). Although, Career Sign is an new registered organisation, it has already apply two different surveys (vocational information of students with disability and functionality) and metric indices show that there is both the need and the solution.
That's the reason we why apply for improving the diversity among candidates to be part of the public administration.

One thing that is needed to take under consideration is the amount of Career Sign staff. Career Sign has the specialty to support a project like that, but it is a small organisation right now and each person is important. Furthermore, the distance of the project may be an obstacle. Not only there is needed to make an evaluation of facilities but also job descriptions, context of Spain etc.

On the other hand, one of the first steps on planning is a trip to make an autopsy in facilities, involved people and community. Furthermore, Career Sign's site is already launched and can be translated or modified in order to support both people from Spain and Greece.
Career Sign educator that will be head of training HR staff will travel to Spain in periods with low stress flow, such as summer months.
