One Page Summary

Close to 50 % of all food produced is being thrown away in Europe. This is a problem that iss mich! is dedicated to address and to come up with creative solutions in order to reduce food waste but also raise awareness for the topic. Our approach is always to up-cycle food waste and to turn surplus food into a high quality product. Since 4 years we successfully distribute our 100% organic soups and stews cooked from surplus veggies. Our approach is always consumer driven food waste reduction

Under the brand WASTED we are brewing two organic beers from surplus bread. They are called "Semmel" and "Kornspitz" which are two typical Austrian breads. We collect surplus bread and use it in the brewing process to create a Lager Beer and an Ale in order to reduce food waste. Bread is, next to dairy products, one of the biggest parts of food waste. We know that Vienna is throwing away as much bread per day as the city of Graz is consuming.

With our WASTED beer we wand to raise awareness for the topic of food waste and also give the consumer the possibility to actively reduce food waste by consuming our beer.

Our slogan is: "Let's get WASTED for a better world!"
